Paronychodon aff. Tooth. Hell Creek fm, Powder river county. Late Cretaceous. 65ma

Paronychodon explanatus is the name given to single taxon found specifically at hell creek formation, Montana. Larger in size to P. Lacustris found at Judith river, both forms are known as a single taxon species. Few fragments have been found of both Paranychodon but too little to make a proper species identification. Experts are agreed it is a dinosaur tooth and some have even strongly identified similarities relating it to Saurornitholestes. This tooth is the typical laterally compressed “D” shape with twisted apicobasal ridges which on this tooth are very pronounced. This tooth was found in Hell creek formation, Montana, USA. These teeth are becoming more popular in the anticipation that a more complete specimen will be found.
