Pterosaur, Humerus bone. Cretaceous, Tegana formation, North Africa

Rare Fossil of this size, pterosaur Humerus bone, beautiful fossil. (Coloborhynchus Moroccensis) is probably the most likely species that this bone belonged to when considering the location found and that this was the dominant species, but one cannot be 100%. Pterosaurs lived during the Cretaceous (100 million years) this bone was found at the Kem Kem basin beds, Tegana formation. Coloborhynchus is one of a few named flying reptiles from Africa with its Narrow, curved teeth, probably used to catch fish and smaller reptiles and mammals. Coloborhynchus was thought have reached wingspans of up to 23 feet, species are also recorded from Brazil, uk and the USA. This bone has had a expert glue repair in the middle.
