Afrovenator was a genus of megalosaurid dinosaur that lived during the early Cretaceous between 125 and 135 million years ago in what is now known as Africa, this tooth particularly found in Tahoua, Niger. Despite weighing the same as a large Rhino this theropod dinosaur could reach speeds of up to 25-30 miles per hour. Afrovenator is the most complete dinosaur found in Africa, it was a bipedal, meat eating dinosaur, three fingered, a stiff ridged tail and 2inch serrated sharp teeth. Afrovenator was related to Allosaurus.

This tooth has undergone some distortion over the millions of years which is common with these teeth from this location. The tooth is extremely stable and strong with superb serrations.
