Carpopenaeus (approx 100 myo) is an extinct genus of shrimp, which existed during the Upper Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. It contained three species. Carpopenaeus callirostris are from the famous Cretaceous aged fossil beds near Ajoula, Lebanon. The fish fossil is most probably a species of the Armigatus or closely related. The fish is a superbly detailed fossil and the two fossils together make a superb fossil display.

This is a superb detailed and rare fossil which would be a great addition to any fossil collection.
