Captorhinus is an extinct genus of captorhinid reptiles that lived during the Permian period, between 251-299 million years ago. Its remains are known from Oklahoma, Texas, Europe, India, the Pedra de Fogo Formation, Parnaíba Basin, Brazil and the Madumabisa Mudstone, Zambia. This particular articulated foot with claws is from Oklahoma, Dolese Quarry, Richards spur, USA. They small bones are found and painstakingly reassembled to reform the foot of this extinct species.
