Palaeocarcharodon Orientalis, also known as the Pygmy white shark is a genus of extinct shark from the Otodontidae family. These sharks lived from the end of the Cretaceous into the Paleocene approximately 61.7-55.8 million years ago. The teeth are easily recognised by the heavy serrations which can even be observed on the cusps. 

Orientalis is thought to possibly be the ancestor of out todays Great White and the Carcharodon Megalodon although Orientalis was a lot smaller, possibly only reaching a maximum length of 1metre. 

This tooth comes from Ouled Zem, Khourigba, Morocco and are highly sought after by fossil shark teeth collectors.
