Eocarcharia is a fairly recent Dinosaur find, being discovered back in 2000 by the palaeontologist Paul Serano. Eocarcharia (meaning "dawn shark") lived in the early Cretaceous 112 million years ago in what is now known as the Sahara, Niger. Eocarcharia can be recognised mainly by its thick band of brow bone which would have given it a menacing look and hence the name Dinops (meaning "fierce eyed) E.Dinops had blade like teeth which it used to hunt live prey and has been estimated to of reached lengths between 6-8 metres. 
This sooth has had no repairs and details the iconic rich dark colour typical of the location found. The serrations on both edges are well defined and clear and the enamel is complete. A super tooth from this rare species of Dinosaur.
